The Founder 

Aleksandra Stefanovski – Creative Director, Senior Eyelash Designer and Founder of Lash Republic by Milan & Co.

Lash Republic’s founder Aleksandra Stefanovski spent most of her teens, like many others experimenting with makeup and with her favourite accessory – false eyelashes. Years later after completing her degree in Economics and Marketing and her Advanced Diploma of Marketing Research at Melbourne’s acclaimed Deakin University, she began her professional career in Marketing Research, Media Analytics and Private Label Management at the former Coles Myer Group.

In 2008, she turned her passion for eye perfection into a business undergoing research and training under the Xtreme Lashes Australia team, followed by Advanced Training with industry great, Nor Daoudi, Xtreme Lashes U.S.A.

Her business started with a service based studio providing semi-permanent eyelash extensions to a client base hungry for a little lash love.  Styling, shaping and enhancing hundreds of varying eye shapes over the years provided Aleksandra with the ideal canvas for creative play and with that Lash Republic was born.

“After three years, I had to force my long term clients to take a break with their eyelash extensions. Eyelash Extensions are a wonderful way to enhance what nature has bestowed on you, however after such a long wear, it’s important to give your natural lashes a breather to promote natural growth. In order to provide my clients with an intern solution for their unlashed look, I began hunting for temporary eyelash strips”.

“Unsatisfied with what was on the market, I began moulding; shaping, cutting and creating my own designs to shape and custom fit each client’s specific eye shape. Lifting and adding youthful looks for my mature clients, creating rounder and doll-eyed looks for my Asiatic eye clients, and wing eye almond eyes for my large eye shape clients. The false eyelash designs were the perfect way of offering my clients the solution of non- commitment eyelash wear, tailored looks and the opportunity to change their look from day to night..”
