About Rachel

Sydney based make up artist Rachel Montgomery found her passion at an early age.

I remember, in the 80’s watching my cousin do her make up, when she was getting ready to go out. It was an hour long process using lots of colour- it was fascinating!”

After 10 years of working as a hair & make up artist, weather working with real women, celebrities or models, Rachel loves what she does.

“ I just love the transformation! I find the whole creative process like a form of meditation you can really surrender to, not to mention the joy of making someone feel beautiful…”

Rachel knows faces, having worked in Fashion, Editorial, Advertising & Commercial areas of the industry as well as with celebrities & always stays true to her creative vision. “No matter how creative or artistic you want be, always remember there is a face under the make up! I love to let IT guide ME-this way something new is created every time. Have fun with eyes & be confident with colour.

Experiment with different application techniques & products, but be a master with blending. This way you can use lots of colour etc & your eyes will still look soft & beautiful.” She tempers her technical know how with a natural affinity for the beauty of each face. She starts every make-up with a fresh eye and believes it is essential to remember as that every face is unique.

Rachel’s success comes from her passion for the industry and her commitment to create beautiful work on every single job. No matter whose face she is working on she is aware of the magic created, the power to make someone look and feel more beautiful. Most importantly, she simply loves her work.
